Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in Italy, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the leading carpooling and ridesharing apps in Italy showed varied performance trends on the iOS platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 36K in late July before tapering to approximately 20K by the end of September. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users ranging from about 194K to 237K throughout the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a rise in downloads early in the quarter, reaching a high of nearly 21K in mid-August. However, downloads gradually decreased to around 9K by the end of September. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, peaking at 169K in early August and slowly declining towards the quarter's end.

Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more maintained a steady download rate, with numbers hovering around 5K to 7K each week. Active users showed a notable increase towards the end of the quarter, climbing from 75K in early August to over 100K by late September.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery showed a significant rise in downloads in early August, reaching over 10K, before settling back to around 2K by late September. Active users similarly peaked in early August at roughly 177K, followed by a slight decline.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced consistent growth in downloads, peaking at about 4.8K in mid-August. Active users increased steadily throughout the quarter, starting at 6K in early July and reaching around 9.8K by mid-August.
